The
Smoke Free Suffolk Alliance is part of a national network partly funded by the
Department of Health and comprises representatives from the following bodies:
Suffolk Primary Care Trust, Great Yarmouth & Waveney Primary Care Trust,
Suffolk Stop Smoking Service, Suffolk Healthy Schools Programme, Suffolk County
Council, Babergh District Council, Forest Heath District Council, Mid-Suffolk
District Council, Suffolk Coastal District Council, Waveney District Council,
Ipswich Borough Council, St Edmundsbury Borough Council and Suffolk Trading
Standards.
The local authority members of Smoke Free Suffolk are represented by
Environmental Health Officers who are responsible for advising local businesses
and enforcing the smoke-free provisions of the Health Act from 1 July 2007.
